# Bidcraft > Make every bid count. Bidcraft is a browser-based AI tender and proposal workspace that brings requirements, evidence, compliance review, and version history together. ## Product - [Workspace](/): Create tender workspaces, compare requirements and proposal responses, review compliance flags, save snapshots, and export Markdown proposals. - [About and guidance](/about): Workflow, local storage, offline behaviour, sample data, and the limits of AI review. - [Extended product context](/llms-full.txt): Supported workflows and factual boundaries for AI readers. ## Bid Anatomy - The Bid Anatomy workspace tab visualises actual clause, evidence, and human review state using an interactive SVG inspection bench. - Human approvals are local browser records, separate from AI alignment and confidence. Missing responses, unavailable evidence, and unresolved flags block approval. - Editing response text or evidence links clears the previous review. Review decisions create version snapshots. ## Brand - Name: Bidcraft (one word; capital B in prose, lowercase wordmark). - Tagline: Make every bid count. - Logo: A folded-document B in ivory and chartreuse, with teal inner surfaces on a dark rounded tile. - [Original logo](/brand/bidcraft-icon-original.png) - [Optimized logo](/brand/bidcraft-icon.webp) - [Social preview](/brand/social-card.png) ## Accuracy and data - Included tenders, proposal wording, and corporate evidence are demonstration data, not verified claims about the user’s organisation. - Proposals and version history persist in local browser storage. There is no account-based or cross-device synchronisation in this version. - AI drafting, OCR, and audits require server-side Gemini configuration and an online connection. AI failure must not be described as a successful audit or extraction. - Local text similarity search is available without an AI key. Similarity scores are retrieval aids, not proof of compliance. - Generated drafts and compliance reviews require human validation against original tender documents and current corporate evidence. - Public product information does not disclose any user’s locally saved tender data. ## South African tender discovery - [Find South African tenders](/tenders): Search National Treasury's advertised tender notices by keyword, province, buyer, category, procurement type, closing window, publication window and briefing requirement. Filters have shareable URLs. - Source records are public Treasury data, separate from the workspace's demonstration tenders. Coverage is incomplete and source endpoints can change. Freshness, unavailable values and timestamp conflicts are shown; original documents govern submission requirements. - Users can save notices in this browser and create a blank bid workspace with source attribution, ZAR and SAST metadata. Re-import opens an existing bid rather than overwriting it. - Saved notices and recent successful search pages are browser-local copies without cross-device sync or downloaded attachments. Failed source refreshes must not be described as fresh, successful searches. - Tender discovery does not require a paid tender API or Gemini configuration. AI drafting, audits and OCR still require the server-side Gemini key. ## South African market defaults - The primary market is South Africa. The interface uses South African English (en-ZA), rand (ZAR), and South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+02:00). Source currencies and saved proposal content are preserved. VAT is not added automatically. - Starter workspaces are clearly labelled fictional South African demonstrations. Existing drafts are not rewritten; older users can add the new examples without replacing their work. - [South African bidding guide](/about#sa-bidding-guide) links to official CSD, SARS and the dtic guidance. CSD, tax status, B-BBEE evidence, preference goals, bid forms, CIDB and COIDA requirements depend on the actual bid documents. Bidcraft does not verify registrations or calculate preference points. - AI features process supplied documents through the server and Gemini. Users must assess their POPIA obligations; the app makes no guarantee of POPIA compliance or South-African-only processing.
